Shakir is a Ph.D. researcher at the University of Verona, working under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Giachetti. He holds an M.Phil. from Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) in Islamabad.

His research interests lie at the intersection of computer vision, computer graphics, and 3D vision, with a particular focus on inverse rendering, scene reconstruction, and physically based modeling. He is passionate about creating computational bridges between visual perception and 3D reconstruction, developing methods that allow machines to not just perceive visual data but to understand and model the underlying physics of scenes—turning images into accurate, editable, and realistic 3D worlds.
