We work on different aspects of XR, from modeling and rendering techniques to interaction design. We recently proposed methods for gesture recognition and use of gestural interface within VR and AR industrial applications, on manipulation techniques for XR, on analysis and reduction of motion sickness in VR navigation, on management of collaborative work in VR. We are conducting studies on effects on graphical realism on presence and on use of light field modeling for VR. Our labs are equipped with different devices (Microsoft Hololens, Meta Quest 3, HTC VIVE Pro eye) and tracking systems.
We have multi-centric collaborations on XR related topics (Dept. Diagnostics and Public Health Univr, DPG univ. Padua, Dept. Cognitive Sciences, Univ. Trento, University of Central Florida, University of Porto, CRS4 Cagliari, University of A Coruna, BTH Karlskrona, NTNU Gjovik) and we are open to novel partnerships.
