A month of science, innovation, and networking: the SIMP-SGI congress, the ICIAP conference, and Marmomac 2025

September was a rich month for social events! The AI4Materials group actively partecipated to share its work, learn from other people and researchers, and make connections!

In Padua, during the SIMP-SGI joint congress “Le Geoscienze e le sfide del XXI secolo”, Dr. Eros Radicchi had the opportunity to present a talk entitled “A Deep Learning-based Estimation of Glass Transition Temperature and Melt Viscosity”, a work on the application of AI techniques to the world of glass and its intriguing properties.

On the following week, the Marmomac fair took place in Verona. Here, Prof. Marco Cristani gave an interview to Confindustria Verona, while Dr. Eros Radicchi and Prof. Francesco Setti presented the activities of the group within the event “”Marmo e Circolarità – Ricerca, recupero, responsabilità”, organized by the Consorzio Marmisti Valpantena and the Verona Stone District. On their talks, they focussed on the Zero Stone Waste (in collaboration with IS.I.M. and Confindustria Marmomacchine) and the Cariverona “Final Lap” (with the Verona Stone District and Inerti San Valentino) projects.
